John has been actively involved in agriculture throughout his career. He has used his degree from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln in agribusiness and agronomy to pursue different careers. Prior to purchasing Ag Service Associates he developed an agronomic consulting firm in Holdrege, Nebraska. In 1998 he joined a major seed company as an agronomist where he supported a sales team and worked extensively with end use markets. His experience has become a key asset in developing total risk management packages for clients. He is married to Michelle, a reading coordinator in the Holdrege School System. They have two children—a daughter, Bailey and a son, Brennan. John and Michelle are life-long residents of Phelps County and plan on supporting the agricultural community across the region for many years to come.
